P.542 left column 2nd paragraph: "The first drawback of whole cell measurements in eukaryotic cells is that only average values are obtained, and concentration differences between different cellular compartments cannot be observed. It is known from work with rat liver cells that the free NAD/NADH ratio can be very different in different cellular compartments, i.e. 100-2000 in the cytosol and 5-10 in mitochondria (primary source)." |
