Comments |
"[Researchers] estimated the elastic modulus of the front edge of the keratocyte lamellipodium at 10–55 kPa. It is necessary to note that these values represent only apparent stiffness, because the lamellipodium is very thin (140–200 nm) and the indentation by the AFM [Atomic Force Microscopy] probe in [researchers'] experiments was significant with respect to thickness of the lamellipodia." |
