Method Researchers studied the kinetics of re-expression of a recently described receptor for IgM on the HC (hairy cell) of HCL and the lymphocytes of CLL (refs 21, 26 in article). It is demonstrated that the kinetics of EA (IgM) rosette formation and re-expression by HC follow a cyclical pattern with a modal peak-to-peak re-expression time of 6 hr. The same kinetic experiment carried out on four cases of CLL is illustrated in Figure 6. In these cases the reexpression times were 12, 12, 13 to 14, and 12 to 15 hr.
