Method (Abstract:) "Megakaryocytes were immunohistochemically stained, quantified using an eyepiece reticle, and measured using an image analysis system with incorporated electronic micrometer."
Comments "The megakaryocyte diameter was greater in adults than in neonates (19.4±3.0µm versus 15.3±1.7µm, p<0.0001)...there were no significant differences in mean megakaryocyte diameter between...thrombocytopenic and nonthrombocytopenic adults (19.5±2.7 versus 19.4±3.0µm, respectively)."
