Comments P.81 right column bottom paragraph: "[Investigators] grew Arabidopsis in an 8-h photoperiod at 20°C or 28°C for 21 d, applied a 13CO2 pulse for 24 h, harvested plants at dawn at the end of the pulse and after a 1-, 2-, 3-, or 4-d chase, determined the enrichment of free Ala and of Ala in protein, and estimated the rate of protein synthesis and, by comparison with parallel measurements of RGR, the rate of protein degradation (Table II data provided in Supplemental Data Set S3).
