BV-2 cells without exposure to LPS [lipopolysaccharide] were 10 to 15 μm in diameter, uniformly round, with occasional thin cytoplasmic projections. After LPS activation, BV-2 cells were much larger in diameter (25–30 μm), polymorphic, with many exhibiting thick cytoplasmic projections." |
