P.60 right column 4th paragraph: "The RRP [readily releasable pool] consists of ~1,500–4,000 vesicles in the postnatal day 8–11 calyx of Held nerve terminal [primary sources]. Two distinct components of release have been observed for the RRP: a fast component (~3 ms time constant of release [primary source 15]) and a slow one (~30 ms), each making up about half of the pool [primary source 15, ref 68]. Interestingly, the fast component of release recovers more slowly (within seconds) after depletion than the slow release component (within 100 ms) [primary source 15]." |
