Method | Abstract:"The fine structure of the caudate nucleus was studied by electron microscopy." |
Comments | P.168 right column bottom paragraph:"The long axes of approximately 550 neurons were measured from 1.5µm sections stained with toluidine blue. These measurements revealed that the majority of neurons in the caudate nucleus are small (10µm to 15µm). Larger neurons (18µm to 20µm) are also present but much less abundant. The neuron size ranged from 7.5µm to 32.5µm (fig. 1)." Keywords:cns, central nervous system, size, radius, basal ganglia, brain, forebrain, cortex |
