Method |
p.462 left column bottom paragraph:"Total Protein Identification in A. baumannii DU202. Before comparative proteomic analysis was performed under antibiotic stress conditions, [investigators] tried to identify the total proteome
of A. baumannii DU202 cultured in LB medium supplemented with imipenem. The soluble protein (cytosol) fraction was
prepared by centrifugation after cell disruption, and the membrane-associated (cell wall and membrane) protein fraction was prepared by sodium carbonate precipitation. Proteins from the two fraction types were separated by SDS-PAGE (Figure 1A). The results of the 1-DE-LC/MS-MS [one-dimensional electrophoresis-
liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry] analysis are summarized in Table 1." |
Comments |
p.462 left column bottom paragraph:"In total, 597 and 248 proteins were
identified from the soluble and membrane-associated fractions,
respectively. Of these, 146 proteins were simultaneously identified
from both fractions thus, the total number of identified
proteins was 699, which represents about 18.4% of the total
genome of A. baumannii." |
