origin fires, the GINS complex moves at an almost constant
rate of 1.6±0.3 kb/min. Its movement through the inter-origin
regions is consistent with that of a protein complex associated
with a smoothly moving replication fork. This progression rate
is considerably lower and more tightly distributed than those
inferred from previous genome-wide measurements assayed
through nascent DNA production (BNID 110149, 110150)." |
