Comments | For practical use, the maturation rate should be reasonably fast to obtain a high and stable fluorescent signal. Most FPs in use have a maturation half-time from ~40 min to 1-2 hours, which is sufficient to label cells, organelles, and proteins of interest and to perform various quantitative experiments. |
