Then, the plot of a(x) versus x should be a straight line. In this way, Chiu et al. (primary source) obtained the results aDPPC = 0.507 nm^2 and achol = 0.223 nm^2 for large values of x. However, Fig. 1 suggests that a linear fit is inadequate for small values of x." For large values of x.
