Comments "Tests of at least 10 vesicles were used to obtain bending moduli for each type of lipid as listed in Table 1 (±SD)...Tests were performed on at least 10 vesicles for each type of lipid to obtain values of KA (±SD), which are listed in Table 1, along with apparent expansion moduli Kapp. Comparison of Kapp and KA demonstrates that the smoothing of thermal undulations is quite significant for highly flexible bilayers."
