P.360 right column 3rd paragraph: "The nucleator (Gundersen, 1988) and the rotator (Jensen and Gundersen, 1993) are local stereological tools designed for estimating mean particle volume. These methods provide estimates of individual particle volume without any assumptions regarding size, shape, or orientation of the particles, provided that the particles are either isotropic in nature or that isotropic sampling is applied, in this case through the use of a vertical design. The basic requirement for both principles is to have a unique reference point associated with each particle, in this study the nucleolus." |

P.361 right column bottom paragraph: "The largest global effects in the cerebellum with age is an almost 26% white matter reduction, most pronounced in the FlocNo lobe (see Table 2, Fig. 3) and a 33.2% reduction of perikaryon mean volume of the Purkinje cells (P = 0.0001) (see Table 3, Fig. 4). The Purkinje cell volume estimations are applied to all Purkinje cells counted in all 19 cerebella." Cerebella from 19 normal Caucasian males, ages 19-84 years, were studied.
