This is one fifth of the value for free solution. The response to the methyl-glucose was calculated for three values of Di: 10–5, 10–6 and 10–7 cm2 s–1 without cotransport (continuous line) and with cotransport (dashed line 35 water molecules per methyl-glucose molecule). The best correspondence with measurements was obtained for a Di of 10–6 cm2 s–1. |
