However, this rate is still nearly twice as fast as that for Synechococcus PCC 7942 (~4.1 hrs) under similar conditions (Fig. 1A). Growth rates of three other commonly used cyanobacterial strains, Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803, Synechococcus sp.
