Comments "From Table 1 [researchers] observe that the shear and Young's moduli are significantly different. This observation describes an anisotropic material. Hence, MTs (microtubules) are inhomogeneous and anisotropic. The bending deformation and stretching of filaments are governed by Young's modulus and the sliding between filaments is governed by the shear modulus [5]."
