Average division time of fast proliferating human cell

Value 24 hours
Organism Human Homo sapiens

Comments P.72 2nd paragraph: "A fast proliferating human cell divides on average every 24 h. Given that many physiological processes such as activity, psychophysical performance, blood pressure, and liver metabolism show daily variation, it is not surprising that cells cycle in a circadian fashion. The circadian clock, which orchestrates these daily rhythms, consists of a set of genes showing self-sustained rhythmicity in expression with a period of approximately 24 h [ref 21]."
