PPi concentration

Range 1 to 6 mM
Organism Bacteria Bacillus subtilis
Reference Mijakovic I et al., Pyrophosphate-producing protein dephosphorylation by HPr kinase/phosphorylase: a relic of early life? Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2002 Oct 15 99(21):13442-7. p.13446 left column top paragraphPubMed ID12359880
Comments In in vitro phosphorylation experiments, 60% of the HPr was converted to P-Ser-HPr when 6 mM pyrophosphate and 3 mM phosphate were present, whereas no P-Ser-HPr could be detected with 1 mM pyrophosphate and 50 mM phosphate.
