P.105 right column bottom paragraph: "Nontyphoid Salmonella, with approximately 2,000 serotypes, may be responsible for as many as 1.4 million illnesses in the United States each year: approximately 40,000 such illnesses are reported and more than 500 people die of acute salmonellosis annually [refs 1, 2]. Salmonella bacteria live in the digestive tracts of humans and animals, including birds and reptiles."
