P.1883 right column bottom paragraph: "The permeability of the cell membrane to oxygen has not been directly measured. However, the cell membrane is essentially similar in its overall composition to the thylakoid membrane, aside from its lower protein content—only 30% of its area has been shown to be occupied by proteins (primary source).
