P.352 left column top paragraph: "Furthermore, [investigators'] bioinformatics analysis (see the supplementary Table) shows that putative
globular complexes of M. pneumoniae are predicted to have less than half the size of the ribosome. Considering this
analysis and [their] template matching approach with its subsequent
classification which can discriminate between differently sized complexes, it is very likely that the detected
globular structures are indeed ribosomes. Using the two different approaches of user interactive particle picking and pattern recognition as outlined in the Section 2, [they] detected on average about 300 ribosomes per cell which is by far less than in e.g. E. coli." |
