P.109 4th paragraph: "There is a considerable variation in life-cycle time between species of herbaceous higher plants. While some annual species like Senecio vulgaris or Stellaria media can complete a life cycle in just 5 or 6 weeks (primary source), some perennial species have life cycles of several years duration. For example, Fritillaria species cannot flower until about 5 or 6 years after germination (BNID 114311)." |
