Comments p.294 left column bottom paragraph:"The stable binding of Nav to the large intracellular molecular scaffold via ankyrin-G would significantly slow its diffusional motion, following the Stokes' law of drag force in the viscous cytoplasm and lipid bilayer (Howard, 2001). Indeed, single molecule tracking studies have shown that they are virtually immobile with a diffusion coefficient of ~ 0.01 µm^2/s (primary source). Nav channels recover motility when actin filaments are disrupted by latrunculin A, further supporting their role in anchoring Nav."
