"The enthalpies and entropies of fusion of molecules with increasing globular symmetry indicate the large amounts of disorder present at lattice sites at temperatures below the melting point. Crystals, characterized by low entropies of fusion (<6 kJ/mol, T?S at 300K), often formed from molecules of cubic or hexagonal symmetry, appear to assume the same number of distinguishable orientations in both the liquid and the so-called "plastic" crystal.
