(expressed sequence tag) data suggested only ~25 000
protein-encoding moss genes [ref 8 PMID 12475493]. More detailed analysis prompted [researchers] to exclude gene models overlapping with transposable elements and tRNA and microRNA (miRNA) genes before release of v1.2 of the P. patens genome. From this, [researchers] can predict 27 949 protein-encoding P. patens genes." |
