Method Peritoneal exudate cells from mice injected intraperitoneally with Brewer's thioglycollate broth 4 days in advance were harvested in Dulbecco's phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.2. Identified as judged by morphological criteria (ref 7) and by their capacity to phagocytose antibody-coated erythrocytes (ref 8).
