Comments P.11 bottom paragraph: "The table at the head of this section gives the proportion of an element in the Earth's crust, the order in which it comes in terms of ranking, its concentration in soil, in seawater and in the atmosphere. Again the quantities range from the very large to the very small and if the units are unfamiliar then please consult the section 'Quantities and numbers, large and small' on page 17 for guidance. The following table gives the top 10 most abundant elements in the Earth's crust." Proportions are tonnes per million tonnes of the Earth's crust.
