Method |
Researchers developed genomic variants of
the well-known run-on technique to evaluate the nascent TR (transcription rate)
for most genes. In this technique (GRO, Genomic Run-on),
elongating RNA pol molecules, that conserve the RNA, are forced to incorporate radioactive UTP for a short length. |
Comments |
The statistical distribution shows that less
than 1% of yeast genes have >1 molecule of elongating RNA pol
II/gene. |
