Method |
Researchers report the stimulation of pL
activity by IHF in vivo and in vitro using DNAse footprinting and an abortive initiation assay (Mcclure et al 1978, PMID: 363712). |
Comments |
The integration host factor of E. coli (IHF) is a
small dimeric protein that bends DNA at the
specific sequences to which it binds. It supports
several cellular reactions involving the formation of
higher-ordered structures, such as transposition,
initiation of DNA replication, and bacteriophage lambda
site-specific recombination. See BNID 105128,105129 |
