| Method | For chlorophyll assays the material was added to acetone and hand homogenised. For complete ex1 raction of soluble proteins (plastocyanin and cytochromes c-552 and c-550) the cells were spun down, washed in 10 mM phosphate pH 7, and frozen at - 80 degrees C in 10 mM phosphate, pH 7 plus 0.4 M NaC1.
