Method |
Spinach was grown in a greenhouse with additional light in an 10 h light/14 h dark period. Leaves were harvested after more than 6 h illumination. Plants were kept in the dark for 60 minutes, and photosynthesis was induced by illumination in air |
Comments |
Very high rates were obtained with field-grown and well-fertilized material in the spring (May) and in the fall (September and October). |
