Note-in Lee et al., 'DNA content of wheat monosomics at interphase estimated by flow cytometry', Theor Appl Genet (1997) 95: 1300-1304 p. 1302, table 1, researchers measured by flow cytometry a total DNA content in wheat ('Chinese spring' cultivar) of 17.31pg. Converting weight to bp number, Number of bp=17.31[pg]×0.978 ×10^9[bp/pg]=16.929Mbp and same calculation for range of 16.53-17.97pg given in table 1 gives 16.2-17.6Mbp.
