Method |
Assuming dry cell mass of 2.8×10^-13g (BNID 103904), 25% of total dry mass is cytoplasmic protein (BNID 100019, Measurement method), average polypeptide mass 40kDa (BNID 105861), one arrives at~1,050,000 cytoplasmic proteins/cell. Assuming oligomerization state of protein is ~4 (BNID 100020) one arrives at 250,000 proteins/cell. |
