Comments "...the model contains 50 different types of the most abundant macromolecules of the E. coli cytoplasm (accounting for ~85% of the cytoplasm’s characterized protein content by weight [12]) and a total of 1008 individual molecules. Eight of these molecules are copies of the heterologous (non-E. coli) protein GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein), which has been included so that the diffusional characteristics of the model can be compared with in vivo experimental results (see below). A snapshot of the modeled system, together with a full listing of its constituents, is shown in Figure 1"
