Method D calculated from D=KBT/6/pi/?/R where R=Stokes radius in nm, typical protein diameter. KB=Boltzmann's constant, ?(eta)=viscousity of the medium, T=temperature in degrees Kelvin, pi=~3.14. The Stokes-Einstein equation was also used to estimate diffusivity at 4°C for the proteins from the diffusivity at 20°C.
