Method The transcription initiation sites of the deo operon of studies of transcription in vitro were performed with restriction fragments containing repeated regions as templates Escherichia coli K12 have been determined in vitro and in vivo.
Comments Two promoters separated by 599 bp and lying upstream of 4 transcription factor genes initiate expression of these 4 enzymes repressing . An additional repression site lies 270 upstream, yielding values of 599,270 and 869 bp for loops associated with deo operon.
