Comments "[Researchers] note that typical glucose consumption is reported as 0.2 pmol/hour/cell (BNID 110890). If [researchers] consider glucose consumption by metabolism as the main source of heat, this value yields 150pW per cell using a a-D-glucose oxidation enthalpy ?H=–2.8×10^3kJ/mol (primary source). This is consistent with the above-mentioned heat production of 100pW per cell (BNID 110889)."
