Method Researchers computed the density of charge of the entire protein. This calculation used the volume of the entire protein (Edelsbrunner et al. 1995).
Comments Researchers' main focus has been on the catalytic active sites and the pockets that surround them, but they also found pockets (they call craters) that do not contain catalytic amino acids.
