Comments	"Bacterial mRNAs are translated by closely spaced ribosomes and degraded from the 5'-end, with half-lives of around 2 min at 37 °C in most cases...Most mRNAs in Escherichia coli decay with functional half-lives close to 2 min at 37 °C, but a few mRNA species differ substantially in their halflife resulting in a span of close to 100-fold.
