Comments "The single-particle tracking measurements are consistent with free diffusion of 70S monomers or polysomes under effective confinement in the ribosome-rich regions, with Dribo ~ 0.04µm^2/sec. This value presumably describes the effective diffusion coefficient of free mRNA decorated with translating ribosomes. It follows that free mRNA born in the dense nucleoid region will find a ribosome-rich region in ~ 1 s or less."
