P.1884 right column top paragraph: "...where C is the oxygen concentration outside the cell at a distance r from its center, and C0 is the oxygen concentration far from the cell, i.e., C0 = C(r = ∞). In the case of air-saturated water, C0 = 230 μM (primary source), where micromolar units (μM) are conventionally used to denote molar concentration on a per liter basis (1 μM = 1 μmol/L). Note that C0 varies slightly with changing temperature and ionic strength (primary source)." |
