Primary source abstract: "This paper presents a procedure for mapping the distribution of replicating cells on the aortic surface and for quantitatively determining the rate of aortic endothelial cell replication using a new method of preparing the endothelium for 3H thymidine autoradiography. Data from 3 month old rats show a relatively low rate of replication, approximately 0.3% to 1.5% of the population entering DNA synthesis each day." |
