Actually, when referring to the primary source it only discusses anoxygenic fraction "Consequently, the amount of CO2 fixed by anoxygenic photosynthesis must contribute much less than 1 % to global primary production." (pg 204)."
So the property (add the secondary ref) build on oxygenic PS to be using the CBB cycle. This logic is not strictly accurate as for example some green sulfur bacteria that use the rTCA cycle are oxygenic. Similarly, Chloroflexus that uses the 3-HP bicycle is also oxygenic. Yet these are quantitatively probably negligible and the value is probably still correct. |
