Comments "...in Bdellovibrio predation, crossing the prey outer membrane happens quickly (1–2 min) through an area ~200 nm in diameter where two moving living cells make contact. It seems that Bdellovibrio squeezes through a tight space in the outer membrane, no wider than the Bdellovibrio itself (Figure 4a), into the prey periplasm. The means by which this is achieved and the localized nature of the breech point are mysterious (20)."
