Cells were collected
by filtration through Miracloth, washed twice with 0.4 M mannitol,
and the fresh weight recorded prior to freezing approximately
5 g samples in liquid N2. |

The sucrose synthase pathway proposed requires that cells
contain both PPi and F26BP. Both metabolites were detected in
sycamore cells (table 4). |
