Photosynthetic rates were measured with a suspension (2%
or 5%) of intact Chlamydomonas cells in 25 mM K Hepes (pH
7.5) either as the rate of 1 mM NaH14CO3 incorporation or 02
evolution in the presence of 10 mM NaHCO3. Dark respiration
rates were measured with suspensions of intact cells in
a Rank Brothers (Bottingham-Shire) 02 electrode chamber. |
