Value | 329 μg/mL Range: ±69 μg/mL |

Organism | Human Homo sapiens |
Reference | Harrington MG et al., Cerebrospinal fluid sodium rhythms. Cerebrospinal Fluid Res. 2010 Jan 20 7: 3. p.3 left column 2nd paragraph from bottomPubMed ID20205754 |
Method | Sodium and potassium cations were calibrated (and continuously verified) with NIST-certified standard mixtures (SPEX CertiPrep, Metuchen, NJ, USA). The osmolarity of 50 µL of CSF was determined in a freezing point osmometer, the 5004 Micro-Osmette™, calibrated with 100 and 500 mosmol reference standards (Precision Systems, Inc., Natick, MA, USA). |
Comments | The mean 24-h CSF protein was 329±69µg/mL, sodium was 150.6±10.9mM, potassium was 2.96±0.7mM, and osmolarity was 355±39.1mOsmol. |
