Comments P.320 2nd paragraph: "ACP is a very abundant protein (~6x10^4 molecules per cell), perhaps the most abundant soluble protein in E. coli. This abundance of ACP is not widely recognized because the protein's extreme isoelectric point, small size, and aberrant sodium dodecyl sulfate binding result in its migration through the gel in both dimensions of the two-dimensional gel systems (ref 92) used to catalog the proteins of E. coli. This abundance suggested that ACP may be in functional excess in E. coli and hence that overproduction may not be toxic." Note-Vance and Vance, 1991 Elsevier, Biochemistry of lipids, lipoproteins and membranes p.54 bottom paragraph say that ACP is 0.25% of total soluble protein in E. coli. See BNID 108582. For lipoprotein as most abundant protein in cell (720,000/cell, bound and free forms) see PMID 354502 p.493 3rd paragraph
