Method |
Researchers (in primary source) recorded the numerical density of coated patches on the plasma
membranes of a variety of plant cell types. They then used the expected life-time of a coated
patch (30-60 s) to calculate the time it would take to internalize an area equivalent to
the whole plasma membrane of the cell. |
